Lian Bi Yixing Teapot 联璧壶
Artist: Zhou Guizhen (Master)
Designer: Gao Haigeng (Master, Former Director of the Purple Clay Craft Factory, a Genius in Zisha Teapot Design)
This teapot is the result of a collaboration between two renowned masters. The name Lian Bi (Paired Jade Discs) refers to two beautiful jades placed side by side, symbolizing the harmonious union of complementary elements. It also evokes the phrase “Zhu Lian Bi He,” signifying friendship, peace, and mutual respect. The craftsmanship draws inspiration from China’s traditional jade carving techniques, incorporating cultural heritage with refined artistry. The overall form exudes a sense of ancient elegance, with crisp and flowing lines, creating a teapot that is both aesthetically pleasing and dignified in its design.
This teapot is considered a masterpiece of traditional Chinese craftsmanship. Its design comes from the ancient jade ring (the cover of the lid is shape as the ancient jade). The piece is as delicate as the jade. It displays the beauty of geometry.
This Yixing teapot is not only a practical vessel for brewing tea but also a stunning piece of art that embodies the rich heritage of Yixing pottery.
