Longevity and good fortune purple clay Yixing teapot

紫泥福寿圆壶

This teapot is made of pure purple clay. The lid surface is sculpted with a peach trunk as the knob of the teapot and it is decorated with peach leaves and bats.
The body is mud-painted with plump peach and Chinese characters in both sides. In Chinese, bat and peach are the homophones of good fortune and longevity.
